Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Jorge — a Mexican living in Spain, an open-minded traveler, and someone who’s always up for meeting new people and discovering the world through real connections.
I speak Spanish, English, and French, and I love using language as a bridge to share stories, ideas, and laughs. I’m extroverted, curious, and easygoing, always looking for genuine experiences rather than touristy ones.
I enjoy getting lost in new cities, trying local food, wandering through markets, and having meaningful conversations over coffee or a beer. If you host me, I’ll bring good energy, respect, and a big smile. I’m always happy to help around, share a bit of my culture, or just be good company.
I believe the best part of traveling is the people you meet. Whether you have a couch or just a little time to hang out, I’d love to connect!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that the heart of travel isn’t just the places you see — it’s the people you meet along the way. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to connect with locals, share cultures, and experience places from the inside out, not just as a tourist.
I’m here to make real connections, share good conversations, and learn from others. Whether it’s through a shared meal, a city walk, or a night on someone’s couch, I think these small human moments are what make travel truly meaningful.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, Movies & Books I love:
🎵 Music:
I enjoy a wide mix — from Latin beats (like Natalia Lafourcade, Bomba Estéreo, and Café Tacvba) to indie, electronic, and even French chansons. I’m always down to exchange playlists or dance to something new!
🎬 Movies:
Some favorites: Amélie, Into the Wild, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Y Tu Mamá También, and Pulp Fiction. I love films that make you feel something — whether it’s wanderlust, nostalgia, or just a good laugh.
📚 Books:
I like novels that explore identity, travel, and human nature. Some that stuck with me: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, Open Veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano, and On the Road by Jack Kerouac.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once hitchhiked across southern France with nothing but a backpack, a smile, and a cardboard sign that said “Anywhere.” I ended up staying with complete strangers who welcomed me like family — we shared meals, stories, and laughter late into the night. That journey reminded me how kind and generous people can be, and how travel is really about human connection.
