Overview
About Me
I dream of being able to give a long, peaceful hug to a cow that knows she is loved, in an animal sanctuary
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I received a recommendation from my very dear friends about this universe of possible new friendships, since I'm going to England to spend the next 6 months in the Hereford region, at the Dhamma Dipa Meditation Center.

Music, Movies, and Books
My all-time favorite movies are "Groundhog Day" (USA, 1993) and "La Belle Vert" (France, 1996). I also really like "Arrival" and other science fiction films.
The book that marked my turning point was "The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Darkness" by Carl Sagan. I also appreciate the work of Yuval Noah Harari and have been reading all his publications released in Portuguese.
And the last book that brought tears to my eyes was "Old Path White Clouds: Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha" by Thich Nhat Hanh.
I haven't been listening to much music lately... (...I have a sensitivity to noise.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm... there are so many incredible things in everyday life, right?
I think it was incredible to have entered college... to have learned everything I learned... and to have left.
I find it incredible to observe the range of people and stories that come and go, that cross our paths and change us over time.
But probably the most incredible thing I've done in my life was to have immersed myself in a search for self-knowledge that took me from therapies to Zen and from Zen to Vipassana meditation. There's nothing more incredible than discovering ourselves and the path of Dhamma.
Teach, Learn, Share
I studied English in Brazil and the United States. I have my Cambridge First Certificate and the TOEFL, but it's been a while and I've been lacking practice.
One of my goals in choosing England for this long retreat is to also improve my English fluency.
