Hi! I’m Oscar, a curious traveler from Mexico City who loves flea markets, history, culture, and food. I’m traveling through Europe for the first time with my partner, Mayté (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2017333663), sharing our passion for art, music, and great conversation.

A quick but important note about my profile: This account is new as I unfortunately lost access to my previous one, and with it, all my wonderful references from past hosts. However, I was able to save screenshots of some of them, which you can see in my photo gallery! It's my way of showing our history on the platform and the great experiences we've shared.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, travel is not just about seeing monuments, but about connecting with the heart of a place... its people. My partner, Mayté, and I are on a Eurotrip from mid-December to mid-January, exploring cities like Milan, Venice, Rome, Athens, Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Lucerne, Paris, and Nice.

We believe the best experiences come from sharing stories and daily life with locals, which is why we choose Couchsurfing. We're looking for more than just a place to stay; we're hoping to make genuine connections and learn from your perspective. Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in arts is quite eclectic, and I'm always eager to discover more! Musically, my heart belongs to the soulful and profound lyrics of Mumford & Sons, but my playlist spans everything from Bach to Eminem.

I love a great film that tells a unique story, whether it's a heartwarming classic like Forrest Gump, the stylish action of Kingsman, or the artistic vision of Isle of Dogs. When it comes to books, I enjoy getting lost in a thrilling investigation with authors like Dan Brown, but I also appreciate thought-provoking dystopian worlds like 1984 and A Brave New World. I find that sharing stories through music, film, or books is a fantastic way to connect with new people

Teach, Learn, Share

- I always travel with Mayté (see her profile), and we’re flexible with any sleeping arrangement (sofa, mattress, futon).
- We usually stay 2–5 nights per host, but we’re happy to adjust to your preferences.
- We respect schedules, rules, and try to integrate into our hosts’ daily life.
