About Me

Hi!I'm Wang Jiahao. You can call me Joe (my English name) or Joé (my French name). I'm currently in my final year of undergraduate studies.

I just completed an internship, and since my schedule in this last year is quite flexible, I decided to seize the opportunity to embark on a two-month backpacking trip across Southeast Asia. On the very night my internship ended, I flew directly to the first stop of my journey—Hanoi, Vietnam.

My planned travel route is: Vietnam 🇻🇳→ Indonesia🇮🇩 → Singapore🇸🇬 → Malaysia🇲🇾 → Thailand🇹🇭. I aim to finish my journey before the Spring Festival and return home to reunite with my family.

To immerse myself more deeply in the local culture, I recently signed up for Couchsurfing. I'm really looking forward to meeting new friends and hearing their unique stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently came across the concept of "couchsurfing" online and found it really fascinating. While we're young, we should explore and try new things as much as possible. So I want to give couchsurfing a try, actively step into experiences I’ve never had before, and make my life richer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer, I attended a one-month summer school in Toulouse, France. Toulouse is a truly beautiful city, and during that month, I made many friends and had an incredibly memorable summer.

My daily schedule was quite regular: classes started at 9:00 AM and ended at 3:30 PM. After class, I would often go grocery shopping, explore the city, or enjoy a casual drink with friends. On weekends, the school organized trips and activities, so every day was fulfilling.

During that time, I also took advantage of a local traditional holiday break to travel to Italy, where I finally met my long-term pen pal from Tandem in person.
