Music, Movies, and Books

Music: All kind of music, but it depends at the situation. Only for listening and maybe singing different as for "dancing". I am not a "dancer" but to some types of music, I only like to jumping and dancing arround to have fun. But I am not the person, who can dance to everything, there is a lot of music, where I get no dancing feeling.

I am very open to new music, thats why I changed my music taste very often. There were periods in my life, where I spent a lot of time for searching new and good music, but now I am older. Now I try to get this high, deep and so superficial feelings by myself and not only through music, how it was years before. But sure if there is a nice music festival etc. on my way, I am open to visit it, if it is not to expensive. I also like to visit clubs in other countries, who are not playing only english-speaking music. I like it, if the location is a little bit dirty and fucked up, I am not a fan of this "high-gloss-club-society". I like clubs, music and persons, who are real, and I dont like the haughtiness of perfection.

Thats why I like Johnny Cash or Leonard Cohen sometimes. Or why I heard also a lot of this British Invasión, Hippie and Vietnamwarmusic stuff. The Beatles, the Doors, Led Zeppelin all this famous band up to Motörhead and Nirvana. I heard the most famous music from the beginning 40s up to now. Frank Sinatra, Marlene Dietrich, Chuck Berry, Elvis i like it all sometimes. Sure I also listen to a lot of german music ...

At the moment I listen to a lot of Indierap-hip-hop with a lot of sarkasm and irony mostly in german. I like music who is hard, but honest.

Movies: I saw a lot.
Another day in paradise, Lord of war, city of God, Lolita, forrest gump only son names i know. Mostly i forgot titles and names (my biggest problem)

Series: Breaking Bad or House of Cards

Books: If I read then I read mostly more old literatur. I try to get a small knowledge about world literature, but I am not study it.

I like Nietzsche ("Eco homo" and "Zarathustra") and Schopenhauer ( only "Aphorismen zur Lebensweisheit"). And i think i like all books from Herrmann Hesse i dont know a book from him i dont like. I like also the diaries of Thomas Mann and some of his books. (I only understand at some parts maybe the half, because there is so many content, where you need a lot of background informations for understanding all.) I started reading Tolstoi and a little bit Dostojewski for getting a better impression of this old russian culture of the 19th century.

But one of my favorite writers up to now is Michel de Montaigne (1533-1592), because he changed the literature totally and he is one of the grandfathers of our high narcistic culture now. Because he was one of the inventers of the subjective. He put hisself in the center of his own considerations. His thoughts and his really open-minded way of thinking are today maybe more actual then before 400 years.
