About Me
Hi! I’m a nature enthusiast and an environmental scientist by profession. Having a Master’s degree in Ecology, I’ve spent a lot of time studying how our world works, and that naturally fueled my passion for traveling and exploring different landscapes.
I’m a curious person who loves deep conversations about science, sustainability, and culture. When I'm not 'saving the planet,' I enjoy hiking, discovering local coffee shops, and meeting people who see the world from a different perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, traveling isn't just about seeing monuments; it's about the people who live there. I’m on Couchsurfing to experience the local lifestyle, share stories from Ukraine, and make genuine connections. I believe that a shared meal and a good story are the best ways to bridge cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My heart belongs to Ukrainian music. I love the legends like Okean Elzy, Skryabin, and TNMK, but I also follow the modern scene: Odyn v kanoe, SadSvit, Lely45, jockii druce, schmalgauzen, Jerry Heil, Kodak System, and hatespeech. My international taste is a total mix: from Imagine Dragons and the sunny vibes of Manu Chao to Italian classics like Renato Carosone (Tu Vuo Fà L'Americano) and Deslocado. I’m also a big fan of Japanese artists like Fujii Kaze, Akeboshi, amazarashi, and Sekai no Owari. Honestly, my playlists are constantly growing with gems from every country I discover!
Movies: I’m proud of modern Ukrainian cinema and highly recommend Dovbush, Myrnyi 21, and the drama series There Will Be People. When it comes to global cinema, I enjoy movies featuring actors who bring great energy or depth: I love the classics with Jackie Chan, Jim Carrey, and Robin Williams. I also admire the work of Angelina Jolie, Cillian Murphy, Keanu Reeves, and Tom Holland. I enjoy everything from soul-stirring dramas to light-hearted action.
Books: I am a true bookworm, so it’s always hard to pick just one favorite. However, some books that really moved me are The Choice and The Gift by Edith Eger (truly life-changing reads!), Web of the Witch World by Andre Norton, and A Ghost in Love by Marc Levy. I’m always open to book recommendations and love discussing literature over a cup of tea.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my university practice and while writing my Master's thesis, I focused on the Prut River. I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of human negligence—waste and pollution being dumped into the water. But what truly amazed me was the river's incredible power to heal and restore itself despite everything. Being able to give a voice to these environmental issues through my research was a profound experience for me. It taught me that nature never stops fighting for life, and neither should we.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: I can teach you a lot about environmental science and sustainability — from how to analyze ecosystem health to practical 'zero waste' tips for everyday life. I can also teach you some basic Ukrainian phrases.
I can learn: I am eager to learn about your local culture, traditions, and hidden gems that aren't in the guidebooks. I'm also very interested in learning local recipes and hearing about your life experiences and perspective on the world.
I can share: I can share stories about Ukraine — our history, our modern music scene, and the incredible resilience of our people. I can also share my time and energy: I'm happy to help with household chores, grocery shopping, or gardening. Most importantly, I can share a good conversation and a positive vibe!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a lot of interesting facts about environmental protection and ecology. Also, I’d be happy to cook some traditional Ukrainian dishes for you and tell you more about our rich culture and history. If you like hiking, I’m always down for a walk in nature!
Moreover, I’m always happy to help out around the house. Whether it’s doing the dishes, tidying up, or running to the grocery store to pick up some food — I’m more than glad to help with daily chores to make things easier for you.
