Overview
About Me
I am a student from Taiwan who spends much of my time reading, walking, and doing research. I enjoy learning about different perspectives and environments, and I often approach new places with curiosity rather than fixed expectations. Alongside my studies, I am developing a web-based game called Street Warrior, which explores urban environments and sustainability themes through interactive design. This project reflects my interest in observing cities, communities, and how people relate to their surroundings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I use Couchsurfing as a platform for cultural exchange rather than accommodation alone. Staying with locals offers a direct understanding of place and context that structured travel cannot provide. It also allows interaction based on mutual respect, communication, and shared time.
Interests
I enjoy reading across a range of topics, including science, culture, and social issues. Music is part of my routine, especially guitar and singing. Coding and research are ongoing interests connected to my academic work and personal projects. These activities shape how I spend my time and what I tend to share or discuss when meeting others

Music, Movies, and Books
My reading habits are broad and not limited to a single genre, although the book I return to most often is the *I Ching*, which I read as a cultural and philosophical text. In music, I am familiar with a large portion of Mandarin pop as well as some classical guitar repertoire; one of the singers I listen to most is Faye Wong. I also enjoy older films, including works such as the Italian film *The Best of Youth* and Hong Kong films like *Flirting Scholar*. These interests often become starting points for conversation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One meaningful experience has been developing deep learning models in meteorology and hydrology to perform spatiotemporal interpolation of rain-gauge data across the United Kingdom. This work involved handling radar-calibrated precipitation datasets, modeling temporal sequences, and applying machine learning methods to better understand rainfall structure and distribution. It combined scientific research, data processing, and model implementation, and shaped how I approach environmental observation and analysis.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share perspectives from Taiwan, discuss research-related topics, or exchange ideas about research and programming. I am interested in learning about local culture, daily routines, and how people in different places think about their communities and environments. Conversations and simple shared activities are the main forms of exchange I look for.
