Heyyy! I’m Lois and I’m a college student traveling during my exchange semester in Europe.

My goal for my traveling is not to shape my social media page and take lots of pictures to show off to people all the places I being or how cool I am.

I hope to truly get to know how people who has completely different background than me view the world from their lense. So no worries if you can’t host me, if you want to get coffee and hangout while I stay in a hostel it would bring me the same joy !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Two reasons, first my favorite quote is “we are a mosaic of everyone we have ever loved.” This concept motivates me to meet new people and to shape and be shaped. Especially people who are used to be stranger to friends to family! The process is so beautiful and makes me so emotional.

Second, I’m a curious person, I want to see how different people lives are.

Music, Movies, and Books

The media I consume have a large variety and changes accordingly to my mood which is deeply affect by the amount of sun light I get. If it’s a lot I listen to Rex Orange County, little the Maria’s, Clairo or Lizzy Mcalpine. That also is not definite, it also swings according to my friend’s music taste.

Movie wise I am a wannabe film maker ( on YouTube with 34 followers who’s largely my friends) (@loissshuang) and I live for any films that contain love hope and day dreaming. My favorite two is lala land and Mitty. I also love cheap bad movies that involves dramatic love confession in the rain..

Whatever books people in my life recommend I would read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Define amazing?! To me even visiting an ordinary park and picked up a leaf that reminds me of my friends excites me.

However, I think one thing that impacted me would be from 12 my family regularly visits a small village in china every summer. We would hangout with the kids and teach them English lessons. My favorite memory was just growing up with them since we are about the same age and see how life could be so simple and sweet picking peaches from the mountains.

I can teach you English, Mandarin both American and Chinese culture. I also grow up surrounded by people from different countries so many cultural mix happening! I also want to learn your family’s recipe, your dream and passion or simply new languages! I love deep conversations and walking at night.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A fun day! I am a very spontaneous and positive person. So if anything happens on our trip I can make it either to a YouTube video or my stand up comedy material.

But seriously, I am great at taking photos! Budget and life planning. Ask me about anything! I also have been cooking and baking for a long period of my life so I could cook for you. If you need I am also a great organizer, I enjoy organizing or advice on interior design.
