Hi! I’m Valeria from Ecuador, and I’ll be moving to Germany soon to start my PhD in Political Science at the University of Jena. Currently, I work as a Project Manager, and I’m excited to begin this new academic chapter abroad.

I would describe myself as open-minded, respectful, and curious about different cultures. I enjoy meaningful conversations, discovering new cities, and learning how people live in different places.

In my free time, I love spending time with friends, going for walks or hikes, practicing yoga, and going to the gym. I value balance, calm spaces, and good energy.

I’m not just looking for a place to stay, but for cultural exchange and genuine connection. I’m happy to share about Ecuador and have a nice conversation over coffee or beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m looking for a place to stay between April 5th and 17th, as my long-term accommodation will only be available from April 18th onwards.

I would love to use this time not only to settle in, but also to get to know the city through local perspectives. Since I’m moving to Jena to start my PhD, it would be wonderful to meet people, explore the town, and maybe even make a few new friends ☺️
