About Me
Hi! I’m Maïlys 😊
I’m originally from France and currently living in Montreal. I love discovering the world through people more than through tourist attractions. For me, traveling is about connection, perspective, and shared moments.
I’m naturally curious, calm, and open-minded. I enjoy deep conversations as much as simple ones, cooking together, laughing over a glass of wine, or just enjoying silence in nature.
I appreciate authentic experiences, local culture, and meaningful exchanges. I’m independent but I truly value sharing moments with the people I meet.
If we meet, I’ll probably ask you many questions about your life, your country, and your favorite hidden spots. I believe everyone has something inspiring to share.
Looking forward to connecting 🌿
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe the best part of traveling is the human connection.
Hotels can give you comfort, but they can’t give you perspective, stories, or real cultural exchange. I love discovering a place through the eyes of someone who actually lives there : sharing meals, conversations, daily routines, and simple moments.
For me, Couchsurfing is not just about a place to sleep. It’s about trust, openness, and meaningful encounters. Some of my most beautiful travel memories come from the people I met and the unexpected moments we shared.
I’m here to connect, to learn, and to experience the world in a more authentic and human way ✨

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is very important to me. I love going to festivals, not just for the music, but for the atmosphere, the shared energy, and the feeling of connection between strangers.
I enjoy discovering new artists, dancing freely, and living fully in the present moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done was traveling through Mexico using Couchsurfing and experiencing the country through the people who live there.
Instead of staying in hotels, I shared homes, meals, and daily life with locals. It completely changed the way I see travel : it became less about places and more about human connection.
It taught me trust, openness, and how beautiful cultural exchange can be 🇲🇽
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share French culture, language, and cooking.
I’d love to learn about local traditions, nature, and different ways of living.
I believe the best exchanges happen through honest conversations and shared experiences.
