About Me

Hi! My name is Fırat and I’m from Türkiye. I work in the public sector and I love traveling whenever I have the chance. I’m a curious person who enjoys discovering new cultures, meeting people from different backgrounds and learning how locals experience their city.
I usually travel solo because it gives me more freedom and flexibility, but one of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting new people along the way. I believe the best memories of a trip often come from the people you meet, not just the places you see.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me Couchsurfing is not just about accommodation. I’m here because I enjoy meeting locals and other travelers, sharing stories, learning about different cultures and making new connections around the world.
Even if I’m not staying with someone, I’m always happy to meet for coffee, a walk in the city or a good conversation.

Interests

I enjoy exploring cities on foot, trying local food, visiting historical places and experiencing the local culture. I also like nature, beaches and beautiful landscapes. Sometimes I join walking tours or small group activities to meet fellow travelers.
I’m also interested in motorcycles and motorsports, and I enjoy following MotoGP races. Traveling to different countries for events and exploring the area around them is something I really enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy different kinds of music depending on the mood – electronic, chillout, rock and sometimes local music from the countries I visit.

Books: I like reading about travel, history and personal development.

Movies: I enjoy movies based on true stories, adventure and travel related films, as well as good thrillers and documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve experienced is traveling solo to different countries and discovering places that I had only seen in pictures before. Standing in front of incredible natural landscapes and historic cities and realizing that the world is much bigger and more diverse than we imagine is always an unforgettable feeling.
Every trip teaches me something new and meeting people from different cultures has been one of the most amazing parts of my journeys.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can share stories about Türkiye, Turkish culture and daily life. I can also teach some basic Turkish words and phrases if you are curious about the language.

Learn: I enjoy learning about different cultures, local traditions and how people live in different parts of the world. I also like discovering local food and hidden places in the city.

Share: I’m always happy to share travel experiences, good conversations and interesting stories from the places I’ve visited. Exploring a city together, having coffee or trying local food is something I really enjoy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer good company, interesting travel stories and cultural exchange. I enjoy meaningful conversations and learning about the places I visit from a local perspective.
I’m also happy to cook a simple Turkish meal, share some snacks from Türkiye or help with small things around the house if needed. I respect people’s homes and always try to be a clean, polite and easygoing guest.
For me Couchsurfing is about sharing experiences, meeting new people and creating good memories together.
