I am Mara and 20 years old ☺️
Currently I am more or less organizing my life after being 13 months in New Zealand and one months in Australia.
A big project is to find out where I want to study so I want to travel through Germany to get a feeling for the different cities :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel through Germany to visit different university cities. Unfortunately this can turn out quite expensive and I heard from a friend about couchsurfing who had good experiences, so I thought why not trying out something new and exciting 🤗
I also love to meet new people and be inspired by their story!

Interests

I am a very energetic and active person :)
So I usually play badminton three times a week and do my own home workouts or I go for a run (usually 10km). I also love to spend my time together with friends being creative together, also doing sports or baking or cooking. In the kitchen I also like to be creative and try new stuff :) usually it surprisingly works 😅
Besides I love to spend my time with animals and I am vegan 🌱
I spent a lot of my time at the stable, there I especially enjoy working with the horses or giving riding lessons :)
So basically, I am open to everything which involves moving and physical work, I love to be outside and for the calm part of the day, I like to be creative:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived on a off grid farm in New Zealand for overall four months (returned twice) and started Icelandic horses there in a beautiful landscape ✨
I love the Mount Cook area and I did the hike from Wanaka to Arrowtown (three days) which was amazing!
So I loved travelling through New Zealand with my own campervan and WWOOFing and working there!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach German if anybody wants to learn that :)
I am always open to learn new things, whether it is a language, a skill or a fact! Learning is living!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very friendly, polite, open-minded and energetic with a positive mindset, so I will bring good vibes :)
I have no problem with doing some household task in exchange or to cook as i did a lot of WWOOFING where you work in exchange for accommodation and food.
