ABOUT ME

I grew up in New Mexico. I now live in Boulder, attend the University, and live alone in an apartment with huge windows. Homemade jam, vinyl, and tea mean a lot to me. So do women who shake things up like Vivienne Westwood, Beth Ditto, Debbie Harry, Kim Gordon, Kim Deal, and many more.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd like to refer to my dad's life motto: "I've never met a stranger."

Musica, film e libri

Margaret Atwood, Charles Bukowski, Helene Cixous constitute the holy trinity of writing for me these days. The staples musically seems to be Songs:Ohia, Cat Power, Les Savy Fav, Kings of Convenience, Blondie, Violent Femmes, the Velvets, and Pavement. But boy doesn't post-punk have a great skronk? And gee old surf-rock, The Standells and Link Wray? gosh CocoRosie, Joanna Newsom and Devendra make good sounds too. And Daniel Johnston and Elliot Smith. How can I ignore The Gossip and Ladytron? Six Organs of Admittance and The Books? And of course, everything is outlined by the blues- robert johnson, sylvester weaver, junior kimbrough, leadbelly, oh boy i can't wait to go to the South...
