ABOUT ME

I love to travel, eat good food, drink good wine (or good Guinness), read books and watch films. I play the trumpet and studied in London for a while before I decided it wasn't for me. I've been travelling and volunteering for 2 years now and really want to see as much of the world as possible. I love places steeped in culture and history, the bloodier the better!....(UPDATE: Now back living in Edinburgh, running a restaurant!)

I love being oudoors, and I'm a pretty good organic vegetable gardener. I'm vegetarian too and spend as much time in the kichen as possible! I like eating out and discussing the meaning of life with intelligent, witty people. I'm really interested in politics, human rights issues and the environment.

I love playing and listening to music, mostly indie rock, post-punk, some folk and jazz, classical. I read a lot, and I love anything escapist like fantasy and sci-fi, and philosophy, and I'm currently trying to work my way though the past Booker prize winners - I'm about halfway! I love film, and again it's mostly about escapism for me so a bit of Star Wars or Minority Report is great! I really enjoy anything by Ken Loach, Pedro Almodóvar, Tim Burton, and anything with Ed Norton or John Cusack in it.
