My name is Saskia, I'm a 28 year old artist working and living in Antwerp, Belgium.
I make objects, sculptures and installations, sometimes graphic work and photograpy. Besides that I get around by combining different jobs and have just finished a 5 month summer catering project. So besides art, I also love to cook and take care of people. I love to travel and have good food and good conversation. I like people who use their head, their heart or even their hands to try and make this world a little bit more beautiful.

Me and my boyfriend Benny are traveling to Japan in October 2016 for a 3 week trip around Honshu and Tohoku.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2007 I couchsurfed through California and New Zealand and it was amazing! Met only great people, had so many laughs and good times. Plus I felt safe everywhere I went which is priceless for a girl traveling by herself.
Had a few experiences as a host when I was still studying and never a dull moment with international strangers that come visit.
Now doing some traveling in 2016 and thinking about using couchsurfing again because it's a great alternative way of getting around on a budget and makes you meet local people and discover local gems so much easier.
