My current mission is to be a master gardener, survive my crazy job, and eat amazing food!!!

ABOUT ME

I find it hard to describe myself because I think that everyone sees someone else differently. However, I have had a lot of people tell me that I am a little weird, funny, frugal, and sweet (most of the time, ha ha). I love to meet cool new people and I am really excited to help any cool new people out by offering my couch for them to stay on. And by cool people, I mean non creepy people!!

PHILOSOPHY

Before I get out of bed every morning, I like to think about my day and sort of develop a positive framework. This helps to deal with anything that comes your way. I find that by starting each day with meditation and prayer, I have had a better attitude and those around me feed off of that.

I am finally beginning to get more involved and so far the people I have met through this organization have been very genuine and inspiring.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually did some couch surfing when I visited Europe. However, this was without the help of this website. It was unplanned but surprisingly, it was not scary. People were so kind to open their homes to desperate strangers like me. So many people have let me crash on their couch, friends and strangers, so I would be great to share the love.

Intereses

I am interested in biking, reading, learning, drinking, laughing, making others laugh, and hanging out with my crazy dog Max. I am really into researching nutrition (how the food we eat gets to our plate), human anatomy (because our bodies are amazing machines) cooking, gardening, and making a lighter footprint on this earth.

music? I love "Tampon Rock": The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fiona Apple, Cat Power. I also like Folk, Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Elliot Smith, Kings of Convenience, classic rock, and I really love 90's music. Books? I am always up for recommendations, but my favorite authors include John Steinbeck, Ray Bradbury, Wally Lamb, Michael Pollan, and many other authors who I can never remember their names. Movies? I love Time Burton Films, Pedro Almodavar Films, older Adam Sandler movies, Dumb and Dumber, and Almost Famous are some of my favorites.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I have seen parts of Europe and Japan. Japan was absolutely breathtaking. I loved the culture and the people were so welcoming. I once drove from Wisconsin to California and I discovered I could never live in Nebraska ha ha. I would like to do more amazing things and I am currently working on that.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

My skills are limited, however, I am working on this. I now know how to start a garden from scratch, I have a good grip on how to eat in order to feed your mind and soul, and I am a great listener. I would like to learn another language, how to sew, and how to skate (long board). If there is anyone interested in helping me learn I would be delighted.
