About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to Play and BE JOYFUL in as many places around the world as possible.

ABOUT ME

I love adventure. I've been known to drop everything and just leave to be somewhere new. I really enjoy domestic life too: making healthy food, shopping at arts and farmers markets, and learning new skills. I value balanced, soul-guided, passion-driven living. An Intensive Voice/Actor's training and a human potential/goal-setting program are two of my memorable and lasting experiences. While I enjoy making new friends and being social, quiet time alone once a day is very important for my sense of well-being.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to Play and discover what playful expression can do, everywhere. I like to seek out the artist and the child in all places, occupations, ranks, personalities. I believe that all the rules, labels and structures we create hold less importance than that which causes us to create.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I've participated as a couchsurfer twice and since then I have told friends about the project. I have also made a friend through CS who lived in the same city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was one of the most memorable travel experiences I've had, and that was in Singapore with Juana Jumat and her lovely family. It was so much more than a place to stay during my visit, it was an honour and a privilege to be invited into their daily lives for a few days. I am still friends with Juana to this day!

Interests

experiencing new places, organic plant-based food & nutrition, learning languages, film, performing arts, dance, cycling, ecology, photography, yoga, personal development, alternative healing (Reiki level II), finding the art in everything, and TEA!

The Camino de Santiago, in Spain. A 30 day pilgrimage. I met some great people and saw beautiful countrysides and cities. And I do my best to continue living each day moment to moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn/practice Spanish & French and eventually Arabic and Mandarin. I love learning new things so it's a long list, but here's a few more: documentary film, taoist tai chi, yoga, crochet and knitting, cooking, tango & salsa, pottery, watercolour painting, and I'm happy to connect with fellow artists of all disciplines. I like sharing knowledge about theatre and nutrition.
