ABOUT ME

I will edit this later.. but the short story is:
I love travelling. Fortunately I have a job that requires me to visit exotic places: Hawaii, Chile, Canary Islands. I love Cats. Dogs are ok. I value my friends and family more than anything in the world. I love skiing, snowboarding and diving. I am going high altitude diving this summer. I love eating good food (especially Indian). I'm a burger and fries girl now. Fortunately I have housemates who love cooking. Thai is Kate's speciality. Pizza/bread is Matt's. I am Australian. I drink beer. I am not really up with the cool cocktails. Scotch on ice and G&Ts are about as fancy as I get. I used to live with a Dutchmen and Englishmen so It's all about the beer these days. I'm not into bullshit. A spade is a spade.

PHILOSOPHY

I tend to do whatever the hell I like. Sometimes this can be a very selfish attitude. Most of the time I would say I am just independent. I used to spend a lot of time trying to make the masses happy. I've stopped doing this now... except when it comes to family and friends. I love doing things for the people I care about Wow.. that sounds cheesy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies. I like reading National Geographic, autobiographies and historical science stuff and kids books. I am a sucker for Clive Cussler novels even though they follow the same recipe and the guy always get the girl. I love Harry Potter. I love music.. all sorts. I will happily admit to loving rock ballads. I love the Whitlams and Cat Empire and my JJJ CDs. I love seeing live music in dingy pubs. I have discovered good country/folk? music in America; Eric Brachman, Willy Porter and Neko Case.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have many. One of the most recent... night diving with Manta Rays in Hawaii. I was bowled over by a 16ft wide ray called "Big Bertha". It was incredibly eerie. Seeing the Fires of Chimera in Turkey was bizzare.
My veggie garden in pretty amazing. A skunk ran across it the other day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like hearing a good yarn. Whether it be a travel story or just a growing up story. I have only child lonlieness syndrome. If you enter the room I will start talking to you immediately. I love meeting different people. I still keep in touch with people I've very briefly met during travels... although I must admit sometimes I can't be bothered spending too much energy. I have would rather spend time with my friends.
