About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, Learn, Love, Laugh

ABOUT ME

Practiced in the art of seduction and rejection. I'm short, but I feel tall. Not stupid, but I often play the fool. Eternity sometimes seems a moment just long enough for a joke. The good thing is that the world often seems so strange and coincidental it's hilarious. From whence have we come? To whither do we go? And why? The answer is Life. I've definitely suffered the loss and pratfalls of living and loving too brashly, but the joyous comedies I've been a part of have made it worth all the while. Just a free radical on my way home.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, Learn, Laugh, Love (whenever, wherever, with whoever). Every person's a planet; whether they evolve or devolve is up to them. Static is no option for the living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm inspired by any and all the world's socio-cultural diversity, so this site is a perfect concept to me. I haven't begun to utilize it, as yet, but when the time comes I'm sure it'll be a life-changing experience. Sometimes I work. Sometimes I play. Sometimes I play hard. I like to relax too. But I always do my best to enjoy the moment and that helps the people around me to do the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled through and lived in many places of North America(Canada, U.S., Mexico), but not much on couches. I've freelanced a bit. Friends and family etc., but usually I just get my own place if I feel like staying anywhere for longer than a week.

Interests

Life and Death. Arts, Sciences, Philosophies. New experiences and learning from the ones past. Re-creating and recreation. Beautiful women, music, chess, activities and stuff indoors or out. Soccer, frisbee, volleyball. Writing, recording, performing, sharing music/words. Playing guitar, bass, banjo, drums, keys, everything. Was born in middle-class kitsch, propriety, and unquestioned convention so am most interested in ever-loosening up and developing my own style.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was once a deckhand on a private yaght out of L.A. bound for Vancouver, BC. It was about 100 feet long. One day we passed through such bad weather and the boat was being tossed by waves that, from close up,appeared to be half the length of the boat. We were watching the bow go so deep into the trough of a wave that it became a religious moment; and none of us were all that religious to begin with. Just when we thought we were sunk, the bow would shoot up through the top part of the wave and we'd be back at the bottom of the next one. It ended up being like a roller-coaster that went on for way too long and though I and the rest of the crew lived through it I'm sure it was a shared most-thrilling moment. Oh yeah, and I also spent a summer working in the Church of Scientology, but that's another story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a lot of working-class hands-on experience. Auto mechanics, construction, plumbing, boatsmanship, retail, truck-driving, extensive english vocabulary and a photographic memory which helps with learning other languages, cooking, sailing, guitar, bass, banjo, keys, drums, or singing, classic literature, philosophy etc.
My primary interest in learning, at this point, is languages. I've got moderate spanish skills but passable. A little French, Russian, Polish, but am always hungry for more versatility.
