ABOUT ME

I'm a lucky guy. I've lived on the shore in New Jersey, right outside Baltimore, London (Zone 4 on the Tube), on and off in Cuba (mostly in Havana), and now in Miami for about the last seven years. I just finished my Ph.D. in history at UM. I was trying to put off the real world as long as I could so that I could hang out, travel, and enjoy myself as much as possible. But alas... I now find myself working.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I read an article about this site online. It sounded interesting, and so.... here I am. I figured that I'd offer my couch to others when I could, and that hopefully I'd be able to find some people to let me crash on theirs. So far, I've had only good experiences either way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had let some random grad students from other universities stay at my place... pretty much a couch surfing situation. From this site, I guess there's been six people who have stayed at my place. I've found places to stay a couple of times - even though one of my trips got cancelled at the last minute. Still... the system works.

Favorite movie is definitely The Usual Suspects. I like all good music... Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Tribe, Ghostland Observatory, Lupe, Feist, Black Angels, and about a million other acts. I basically spend all of my money on concerts. Maybe "Catcher in the Rye" or "Huck Finn" for my favorite book.
