ABOUT ME

Um....here goes. Many moons ago in the tropical paradise of Canada, what at first appeared to be a girl, but upon closer examination turned out to be a boy was born: Me! This she/he/me we speak of at the age of 21 had epiphany; there would be only one time in his life when he could do what he wants, when he wants and not damage too many lives in the process and that time was NOW! He made a promise to himself to bounce around the world until boredom or old age set in, or Interpol caught up to him!

PHILOSOPHY

It use to be "Every man dies, but not every man every really lives" (Braveheart), but since Mel Gibson turned out to be a rascist moron, I scrapped that one. So I'm gonna say its important to me to not live with any regrets and not to get too comfortable. If I get comfortable then the challenges that keep me driven are absent. Speaking of driven, gotta stay driven!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a very naughty naughty couchsurfer because I haven't hosted anyone in ages! But I have met some very nice couchsurfers who have hosted me nonetheless (people I owe hugely!). What I have always been available is advice in the form of really really long Lonley Planet style emails on whatever city I have lived in or am living in and free guided tours. Presumably, since I am a tour guide, I know what I am talking about....hopefully....hehe

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best Couchsurfing experiences I have had are meeting those people that surprise me and do not mean that in a I-am-the-second-coming-of-Christ sort of way. Those be the crazys;) I mean the people that even though I read their profile very carefully, they do, say or tell me something that was not only unexpected, it also genuinely impressed me.

I guess saying "traveling" is just too obvious, so lets try something a little spicier. Ball room dancing, sword swallowing, and panda bear wrestling. As well, being a complete SMART ASS. Seriously, I'm a huge history geek, I play a ton of sports, and I love anything to do with nature, and the unexpected

The Corporation is a brilliant doc that everyone has to see. It changed the way I viewed the world. As for music, mostly hard rock (huge Rage Against the Machine fan!) and hip hop that actually means something and is not about bling-bling, but instead social issues like Tu-Pac

There has been a bunch of little things, but since size does matter (can u make those type of comments on this?;p), I'm going to say what I'm doing right now - living my life, my way. And modesty, I've done an amazing job of being modest;)

I don't know what I wanna learn from other people. I guess them showing me a new perspective, a perspective I didn't know existed. What would I like to teach people? That the best things in life aren't material things, but they are the things you can't buy or sell, but only live through; experiences.
