Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To kick ass in Dublin for St. Paddy's Day!!
ABOUT ME
Was supposed to study Human Rights Law last year but up and left in a week to try do the corporate media thing and still unsure as to which path is the right one. Have this amazing urge to earn wads of cash and live life beautifully but an equally strong urge to live the simple life and volunteer. Hopefully will figure that one out soon!
PHILOSOPHY
Do everything once - half for the experience and half because you really can't comment till you've tried it. The rest of my philosophy I am still trying to work out, but in the mean time, smiling a lot seems to work for me =)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have literally just stumbled across this site so not a whole lot of participation going just yet!! I do have a particularly rocking apartment in central London though which my flat mate and I would be happy to share will fellow reveling antipodeans =)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I actually have degree in Couch Surfing from the London Institute of Immigrants after 3 months spent on numerous couches of varying levels of decay around London during my early London days. A fellow graduate, Dickens, once commented, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
Interests
Love the creative dynamics that run through film, media and literature so could spend hours watching films, reading or writing. Interested in politics and philosophy; intrigued by history and inspired by architecture and art. In my spare time - surfing, sand boarding, sky diving, paintball, bungi, muay thai, road tripping, white river rafting, skuba - anything served up with a hot slice of adrenaline or a generous dose of the unusual. Otherwise, a huge advocate of just people watching.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my time volunteering in Vietnam, I cycled off through the muddy rice paddies one day, generally aiming for the beach but also just aimlessly wondering away. Hit the beach just as the storm clouds burst and ended up sitting under some palm trees with a fisherman riding out the storm. We didn't speak each others language but chatted for about half an hour, pointing at the coming stars and the sea, the upturned bowl-shaped boats and the shit washed up on the shore. I followed him back to his place where I spent the evening sharing hot tea with him and his family, being carefully introduced to each in turn. I have no idea what was said that day, or what we were laughing about, but it was the most honest conversation I have ever had and it has stuck in my mind ever since.
