ABOUT ME

I like moving to places I've never been to before. I think that comes from growing up in New Jersey... everywhere else you go is kind of a pleasant surprise. ;)

What else... I met my husband in Japan, and now we're living in his home country of El Salvador. Now my two main objectives are improving my Spanish and making decent pupusas.

PHILOSOPHY

Live simply, enjoy the little things, and spend lots of time outdoors.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've lived in four different countries in the past eight years, so Couchsurfing has been a pretty big part of my life! I'm really interested in meeting Couchsurfers in El Salvador! I'd love to get out more and get to know this country even better.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My parents have done their own version of "couchsurfing" throughout my childhood--that is, we've always had exchange students from all over the world living with us, and these same people opened their homes to me later on, which enabled me to do a bit of traveling throughout high school and university.

Interessi

Camping, wandering around aimlessly, hiking, disc golf, laser tag, being outdoors, watching movies, reading, buying green sneakers in foreign countries, avoiding New Jersey, winning at Scrabble, knitting badly, collecting postcards of Einstein, walking walking walking. I love blue skies, green grass, good books, strong coffee, big dogs, small cities, vegetarian Thai food, adjectives and nouns.

Well... the past 5 places I've lived, I've moved to without ever having visited them first. OK, that's not quite "amazing", but it's the best I could do.
