CURRENT MISSION

I'm traveling for 2 months in New Zealand and 2 months in Australia. I hope to see the landscape, meet new friends, and enjoy a rest while also doing some volunteer work.

ABOUT ME

I have 3 grown children. My former husband and I reared our children in Juneau, Alaska, and I lived there for 30 years, having grown up in the Ozarks in Missouri. I have a Ph.D. in sociology and taught at the university in Juneau for many years and retired as a planning manager for the state department of transportation. I am a committed Christian who believes nothing of what Bush and company say. I enjoy tennis, reading, trekking, bridge, and of course travel.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sold my home in Juneau and am traveling internationally for awhile before relocating to Portland. As a result, I have no couch to host folks on! Thus I have signed on only as a surfer currently.
