ABOUT ME

i make art. thats first for me even though i never do it as much as i like/should. when i do though, its how i meditate. or leech the stuff from inside out. i discovered guitar at 17 and never looked back, i just play alone more than i should(im shy sometimes). I have idle hands, and a pretty restless mind(i get bored quickly) but the more i see than the more i want to see. I want often to do nothing alot, in the spirit of taking everything in. I love my girlfriend,were in europe now, yippie, its far enough away from the USA. i have moved all over the eastern, and central part of the united states, i am a suburban mutt, and so i desire, if nothing else to transcend that. i went to art school for 4 years, which is a long time for a degree you dont need, but since i have left school my thirst for kowledge has finally shown up, so i am kind of a book whore. i love the outdoors, just a stroll around the block, or better still the mountains. i live in beutiful, old mountains that sing to you, and you have to climb and sit, and breath on them. and then theres probely a bunch of stuff i do that isnt good enough to mention.and i an a horrible speller, but was once told that is the sign of high intelligence. so thats good.

PHILOSOPHY

always aknowledge your own impermenance. deny pride whenever possible. the sun rises everyday, so let it bring you something, and above all dont stick to one philosophy. and poop three times a day(i dont)

i surfed with my girlfriend in Bath, England. I highly recommend looking up claude. he will treat you well.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: PI. forrest gump. city of lost children, american astronaut. documentaries about the civil war, fantasia, catch me if you can,really most movies are good. Books: midnights children, cloud atlas, black swan green, jitterbug perfume,fierce invalids from hot climates, fury's, the satanic verses, 100 years of solitude, autum of the patriarch, all books about maps and cartography,Van Gogh's letters, the sirius mystery, focaults pendulum, the island of the day before, my name is red, catcher in the rye, franny and zooey,dharma bums, leaves of grass, howl, supermarkets at night. Music: almost all jazz, beatles, dylan, joanna newsome, hendrix, bowie, rolling stonew, flaming lips, radiohead, TV on the radio(my current favorite band). most old time/bluegrass, the gratful dead, motown(all of it) really anything but modern country!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

after i spent 3 months in the luberon valley in southern france, i thought that was it, down hill from there, and i also saw a hawk, kill a ficnch in mid air then swoop down and tare of the head!
