About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life, no regrets, no worries.

ABOUT ME

For the last seven years I have lived in Nepal, Spain and Guatemala while working in capacity development of local indigenous communities and organisations. Right now I am back in the Netherlands working for an international organisation involved in water and sanitation in different parts of the world. In my spare time I continue supporting a children/community sponsorship program in Guatemala.

PHILOSOPHY

Make a difference by actively contributing to peace and justice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have enjoyed other people's couches all over South America, which was a marvellous experience! As soon as I have found myself an apartment, I will definitely offer my couch as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As far as my Couchsurf experience goes is that Colombia has more Couchsurfers than anywhere else; the Colombian people are so hospitable! Furthermore, I have made really great friendships all over the continent: thanks guys!

Interests

Living in other cultures and meeting it's people, learning from one another, dancing salsa, reading, chilling, and eating beans (something I miss being back in the NL!)

How people stand up for others, helping them in any way, without having much themselves.
