learn things and not die.
I like meeting people and going places and seeing things.
Live enough to forget that I am living and just live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfed in France, hosted in Baton Rouge, had a lot of drinks in New Orleans
dense books, art as a biproduct of living, food: where it comes from and what to do with it, languages, architecture, museums, traveling, silent films, skin of my teeth, learning, systems and how they interrelate.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept all morning on the roof without getting sunburnt.
Slept all morning up on a rickety platform several stories high under some bright green trees and only got a little sunburnt.
Slept on a freight train and only got dirty.
Slept at the dacha and woke up without a hangover.
Slept in the park and didn't get arrested.
Slept on the side of the highway and didn't get cold.
Slept at home and got to work on time...
Chasing vodka with bits of grilled meat, the hot fat dripping down my hands.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I was a language teacher by trade, so I could certainly help you with your English. What do people usually learn from being around me? Probably something about spontaneity or the dangers of thinking too much.
