ABOUT ME

Not easy to write about oneself, is it.. One doesn't want to come across as overly modest or boastful.
I am a man of 36. I enjoy life, can be spontaneous and adventurous. I love people - I love learning. Especially about the cultures of the world. I am attracted to the past, and can drown myself in history books. Beautiful things are important to me. I don't respond well to constraints and systems. It's a cliche, but I am a 'free spirit'. At the same time I don't believe in taking myself or the world around too seriously.

PHILOSOPHY

I am one of those empathetic liberal types that can see the other side of view. I always try and understand things from the other culture's perspective. I am driven by love and beauty. I do have a moral code, but it is very personal.

I am still learning about this community having only joined last week... I think it is a great phenomenon and with time I will try and build the community further.

I think my favourite film is Mephisto - a German film from the 1980s with the wonderful Klaus Maria Brandauer in the lead role. I recently discovered Haruki Murakami, The Wind-up Bird, and was seduced! In music I have a wide taste in many genres, but my favourite piece of music of all time Leos Janacek's Kreutzer Sonata. I feel that music is me.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The place that touched me more than any other is probably the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. A mysterious civilisation in a country due to its government hardly visited by foreigners. Noone really knows how it came to be as it is. The aura of the place is quite breathtaking.

I am good at bringing Prague architecture to life.. And Czech history.. I am always in to learning new things. And experiencing new realities (sorry this is a bit vague). Maybe I need to think about it more.
