About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ไม่เป็นไรทุกวัน_ mae pen rai tuk wan

ABOUT ME

Back in Chiang Mai, hoping to meet travelers and locals in the area, and make some connections!! I really enjoy learning new languages, meeting new people, and sharing culture.

PHILOSOPHY

no fixed plans, see with eyes wide open, and tramp the perpetual journey.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

meet locals and travelers where I live and have lived and while traveling, and sharing what I can when surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

smooth sailing so far. I have had some great experiences through CS and met some wonderful people, and hope to continue to do so.

Interests

food is good, all types, from all countries, bring it on! sides that... traveling, a good book, writing, a well deserved artgasm, a good beer, wine (studied enology before I crossed over to journalism), bumming evasion, learning new languages, eating slow "savin' the flave", and merengue (or any Latin dance)

Music, Movies & Books

I'm open to all music, love to diversify with my tunes. Luv me some Gorillaz, Flaming Lips, TV on the Radio, David Bowie Outkast, Alice Cooper, King Tuff, James Brown, M.I.A., Julieta Venegas, the White Stripes, Gypsy music, Latin music, Brazilian Bossa Nova and Tropicalia, most everything is good for the ears.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is my fave, love all of Wes Anderson's films. Shitty B horror movies, kung fu/martial arts stuff, anything by Akira Kurosawa, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Lost in Translation, Midnight in Paris, quirky stuff.

love tearing through a good book.....ideallly with a cup of tea

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I saw the Expendables 2 before I left the States, that was pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to try and learn new languages, get a glimpse into another's culture, and hear good traveler's tales. Seeing a city though a local's eyes is great, as is getting excited about where I live by watching how much fun a visitor has seeing what I may take for granted.

Countries I've Visited

Cambodia, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Panama

Countries I've Lived In

China, Costa Rica, Thailand, United States
