About Me

@STUBURNFOOLS

It's a long story, but grew up in Texas, lived in Hawaii, California, North Carolina, and now currently reside in Ventura, CA. I'm pretty mellow, but work and play hard! Surf and train Jiu-Jitsu almost everyday and if not then hiking , running, swimming, biking, ect. I have a 2 year old Queensland Heeler (ausie cattle dog) named Rowley, after my favorite skateboarder Geoff Rowley. Have a couple vintage dirt bikes that i ride frequently, play music daily, usually have a drink or two most afternoons at some of my friends local breweries. Camp a lot, travel a lot, eat good, always working on something. Have a pretty solid good group of friends and family that I'm fortunate to have!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Open my home and life to others traveling,
you never know who your going to meet

Interests

I went to school for Photography & Filmmaking, currently am self employed as a freelancer shooting mainly surf / travel / motorcycle related work but sometimes do womens clothing / style work as well as weddings but thats not my favorite. Most of what I shoot is done on film either with 35mm, 120mm, or super 8.

I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muai Tai Kickboxing about 3-4 times a week through Gracie Morumbi Academy here in Ventura. One of the best physical and mental disciplines I've ever found, Jiu-Jitsu is king! Always learning, always watching, always appreciating it more and more.

I love old motorcycles ----- I currently have a 1975 Honda "Elsinore" MT250 , 1970 Honda SL125, and a 1979 Honda CB400. These things are my babies--- Love taking trips with the Elsinore mainly, she's my fav!

Playing music for me lately has mostly been recording instead of playing live. Music is never ending, it can go on forever and still feel brand new.
Current music project: (DIVE THE DIVIDE) can find on bandcamp.com

Traveling is a given. To me, it's the best way to learn and expand your views on your world. Mostly i tend to travel around good surf spots in and out of the country, but this past year especially i decided to dedicate a lot of time to the Pacific Northwest and its outlying states. There's so much out there it's humbling.
