ABOUT ME

Hello and thank you for stopping by my profile. The next trip is in the works, and although nothing is finalized i have little doubt that things will happen. So, sometime in early July or late June I plan to fly into AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS. If anyone has information about the area or has been there before (or currently lives there) feel free to send me a message.

Ok, it has taken me some time to pay enough attention to my profile to make some changes but it's time.

I love to travel! I was in Australia in december for a month and i didn't want to leave. There is much to say about my trip to Australia and a friend of mine reminded me to post my Australian pictures so those will be forthcoming as well. I would highly reccommend travel to australia, the country is beautiful and the people are so friendly.

Right now i am focusing on my career, I have attained my Doctorate after being in University for 10 years! and i hope to get a job in California somewhere. I'm definitely about the business, and stay motivated for achievement. But, also try to squeeze in some time for traveling to different countries (Mexico, Canada, Australia and The Netherlands), and having fun, relaxing and kicking it. I love to hear from new people so send me a message. Also, let me know if you will be visiting Florida and we can talk about all the places to go and sights to see.

PHILOSOPHY

My Philosophy is that most people just want to feel connected to others. And when we feel that sense of connectedness it brings us joy.

Interests

I enjoy meeting new people and traveling. Also, i am a BIG sports fan. I like to play basketball and go to the gym to workout.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Hip-Hop and R&B music. I am also taking salsa lessons right now and my friend Ricardo talked me into taking Tango lessons. My favorite books are many social justice books. Works from Paolo Freire, Bell Hooks, Richard Gregory, Frantz Fannon, or any books that talk about Soocial change

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a clinical psychologist so most of my training involves helping other people feel better about themselves. The most important thing that i have learned in my travels is the importance of having close friends and family. Having good friends allows us to feel connected and to have high self-esteem and feel positive about the world. I love talking about psychology so please feel free to share ideas or books that you have read.
