I've been working my way around the world living in the UK, NZ, and US 🇬🇧🇳🇿🇺🇲. Not sure where is next yet. Been surfing several times around the world, and hosted a few. There was not much CS during COVID in NZ but I'm back now!

I work in environmental research, climb, play piano, and do some ink art. I am always happy to share stories and cook for people who host me. And show around people that I host.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a couple of times, surfed, met up with folks and shown people around. At the moment I'm on the surfing side of things and am always grateful to those who can offer a place to stay.

I like to give back to the community and host whenever I can so my couch is always open to CS'ers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The people I've met through couchsurfing have all been great and it really helps support travellers. Hosted someone in Turkey for a week who was awesome (many years ago now).

I've been hosted in several countries. Always turned into a great experience.

Interests

Science, environment, climbing, music, nature and travel!

I'm currently researching how ecosystems respond to environmental change over long time-scales. That is a very brief summary but if you wanted to know about what I do and how it works I'm more than happy to chat about it because I love talking science!

Also been playing piano for many years, enjoy climbing, art, and coffee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved my life in 30 kgs to the other side of the world (UK -> NZ) to study! And did that again for work from NZ -> US.

I like listening to people's experiences but can tell you what I know about ecosystem dynamics or climbing if you are interested!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like giving back to my hosts by cooking, buying some drinks or sharing stories. I don't like to freeload on free accommodation!
