About Me

CURRENT MISSION

off path nyc

ABOUT ME

what to tell....? at the moment working some and else mainly discovering nyc.... in general always looking for opportunities for some loosely planned time traveling/living/working/studying around the globe - to get around.

PHILOSOPHY

doesn't matter that much, what counts is what finally happens, is lived, experienced - no need to lable it...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

this seemed to be a way to eliminate the hostels, hotel, camping, etc safety on trips before ending up at nice peoples couches, places, etc anyway... worked pretty well so far.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

good and great ones, either in the sense of this community and with couch surfing that just happened by accident, when meeting people on trips.

Interests

all the interesting cities out there, music, gigs, festivals, streetart, playing football, basketball, ice hockey, indoor climbing, hanging out with friends, in the summer preferably with some water nearby, reading, when feeling lazy watching movies and surfing the net. watching good football games with friends and beers (wc, ec, cl) and see finland loose another ice hockey final against sweden or canada (... :/),

Music, Movies, and Books

music: great thing all in all. depending on the mood. but post-rock, trash electro, diy, post-punk, indie, alternative, singer songwriter and a mix of it all is kind of a base line. the best live; a gig of some small, new, innovative, interesting artists in a alternative, small, indie venue.

movies: kind of a gap filler at the moment, if nothing else of interest is going on. depending on the mood hollywood blockbusters with nice fx and that are well produced are pretty entertaining. when feeling kind of intellectual, arthouse movies suite as well, e.g. aki kaurismäki and lars von trier movies.

books: mainly crime stories, ian rankin, lee child, jo nesbo, etc - and nobody writes better german than max frisch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

got around and looking forward to add some more of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

teach:hmmm... german ... well not really, don't like to teach it.
learn: parkurs would be pretty interesting to learn/get into.
share: guess i'm quite well informed what is going on in zh and its nightlife, so i can share that knowledge.
