I am a Scottish lass, through and through, pure and true. As much as I love Scotland, I also love to travel and see the world. Couchsurfing is great as the world can come and see you too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I surf, I host, meet up with folk passing through and spread the good word.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed all round Europe in 2007 and host or meet or travel with people when I am home in Glasgow.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Feist, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen

Films: i love shorts most of all, especially Jabberwocky. Amelie, Delicatessen, Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mullholland Drive, Inland Empire, Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, the Royal Tenenbaums, the Life Aquatic, Thirteen, Magnolia, the Virgin Suicides (much prefer the book), Lost in Translation, the Machinist, Bad Education, Y Tu Mama Tambien, American Beauty.

Books: Because I study English Literature I read far and wide, through genres, times, places, styles.
My personal fairy godmother is Angela Carter.
Faulkner has a special place in my heart as does Sylvia Plath. I admire Seamus Heaney a great deal, his poerty is unparalleled.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have jumped out a plane, parachuting. Jumped off a bridge, bungee jumping. Jumped off a cliff, abseiling. Jumped off a wall, hurt my knee. I have climbed 30ish Munroes (mountains over 3000ft).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach someone to cartwheel, kayak, and ride a unicycle. I have many unimportant skills which I am presently unaware of. I can sew and knit too.
