We have had many great experiences as a family through couchsurfing. We have couchsurfed as a largish group, although now we are just three at home. Home for the past few years has been Massachusetts for the half the year and Spain for the other half, so hosting is more of a challenge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We had a great experience as a family couchsurfing (and camping) through Europe, for 5 weeks in the summer of 2007. The people we met couchsurfing was the best part of the trip. We've also had some CS guests at our home, and have done more couchsurfing in Europe, the US and other parts of the Americas.

We've slept on many couches, carpets, lawns and forest floors. Our experiences through friends or CouchSurfing have been great -- a much better way to get to know a place.

Interests

Among all of us: Hiking, camping, dancing (ballroom, contra, etc.), sailing, canoeing, sculpting, drawing, making videos, musical composing/arranging/performing, tree climbing, reducing/reusing/recycling, acting, programming, cooking, playing frisbee.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of all kinds. Movies: adventure, comedy, drama, quirky. Music: folk, esp. Celtic, oldies rock (parents); pop (older kids); musicals (everybody). Books: fantasies, short stories, social commentaries, young fiction, picture books.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach and share cooking skills and recipes, songs, dances, esp. ballroom dancing (just about any style).
