ABOUT ME

I grew up in France and decided to permanently immigrate to Canada when I was 26, or so I thought... I found a new home in beautiful Montreal and was blessed with a great community that became a second family. In 2013, my partner got a job offer in Melbourne, so we decided to go for a new adventure and we are loving it!
We are in our 30's , easy-going, curious and often up to try new things, especially when it comes to food.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We hosted a bit in Australia but we can't really do it at the moment. We try to keep surfing when we travel and I am always happy to show people around.
What I really enjoy in CS it's the opportunity to see a place beyond the glossy touristy brochure. I love discovering where my hosts like to hang out, where they shop, their favorite bookshop or restaurant.... When I host, I enjoy rediscovering in my own region with new eyes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did some couchsurfing in Europe and Canada and plently of "non official" couchsurfing. I grew up in a very open home where it was not unusual to host poeple that needed a place to stay for whatever reason. It exposed me to many cultures and realities in life and taught me the virtues of being generous.
Funny thing, I met my partner when I was couchsurfing in Canada. He was a friend of my host who had invited me to join a camping trip to their family's cabin. After 7 years together , we got married last year, 10km from this little cabin in the wood where we met. My friend read the first email I ever sent her through couchsurfing at our ceremony. So think about what you'll write, you never know!

Travelling, hanging out with friends, learning and speaking foreign languages, reading, sailing, all kind of games , hiking, horse riding, dancing
At the moment, my partner and I are learning to sail, we hope to be able to travel this way too soon, it's very exciting!

Practicing my profession on 3 different continents.

I like to learn about local language of the country I'm visiting and about their cuisine. I always try to bring back a cook book in the original language. We are learning to sail.
I can teach a bit of French and we can cook some French and Canadian recipes.
