I was a very career orientated person striving for the next promotion until I released I was wasting the best years of my life!! SO decided to take myself round the world and see what else is out there. I am an extrovert who loves meeting knew people, I find it very easy to make new friends and talk to people from all types of cultures & backgrounds. I am like most Scotsmen, I love to have a drink, a good time and of course chat to the opposite sex!!

To be honest I have only seen this website today so am still a big time beginner but would love to help any fellow travellers out should they find themselves in beautiful Edinburgh.

Sorry folks I am still a couchsurfing virgin but will hopefully have some great stories when I start to travel down through China!!

Interests

Again like nearly every Scotsman I LOVE football (soccer for those Americans out there!) I follow one of the local Edinburgh teams and rarely miss a match. I play most sports from golf to squash and I am currently training in Kung Fu in a small town in Northeast China. Apart from sports, films are a major interest of mine with many a night spent in front of the TV! One of my biggest passions is to go out with my friends and having a 'wee dram'!

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge Oasis Fan, been to see them live 5 times and are absolutely amazing!! I have a huge range of music on my ipod from Al Green to Red Hot Chili's to Dimitri from Paris.

Casino, Gladiator, Sin City, Wedding Crasher, Layer Cake, 300 & Snatch are just a few of the films that float my boat.

Book wise anything written by Robert Crais is worth a read in my book!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Became a manager in a hotel at the age of 19.

Played hockey for part of Scotland.

Going to China knowing no one, speaking no Chinese and managing to get myself sorted in a small town called Laixi training in Kung Fu.
