I'm a friendly fellow on the whole: I'm often in crowds and I enjoy being with people, but I also appreciate a quiet corner and a good book.

You would probably consider me a standard-issue Yankee... raised in Northern New England with a quiet, cheerful affability. I wear non-ironic lumberjack shirts but can get dressed up too.

I play music but don't force it on people. I make art but am kinda shy about it. I enjoy traveling and have been all over the world. Recently I was a special envoy in traditional music for the State Department, traveling to Mongolia.

I enjoy having real cultural interactions rather than staying in a depressing hotel. I also like saving money (I'm a New Englander!) and so this makes sense.
