ABOUT ME

We have both retired from professional employment and we have two grown up children. Ruth was an English teacher and Stephen worked mostly in the not for profit sector. We belong to a walking group and the local Oxfam group.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had wonderful experiences with our Couch Surfing hosts in Europe. Through them we learned so much about the local history and culture. Being welcomed into their homes and families and to eat at their tables gave us warm and abiding memories. In most cases we have had some contact since returning home. We hope we can replicate their generosity and friendliness to people we host here.

We like going to see independent films. We enjoy going to world music, folk and jazz festivals. We enjoy reading and Ruth has recently joined a book group again.

Ruth travelled overland though Asia and the Middle East to Europe when it was still possible. Stephen married Ruth after living in South Korea for two years.
