ABOUT ME

I'm currently taking a year out from my job in england to travel round canada, and having spent 7 months in montreal i'm now looking forward to seeing the west coast :)
I'm very easygoing and relaxed, I love music, enjoy hanging out with friends and most of all discovering new cultures and challenging myself to try new things!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My aim is to meet new people with different perspectives on life and to feel inspired by positive exchanges and connections however transient they may be. I hope to also repay the generosity I experienced couchsurfing in japan by hosting people in the future when i am settled back in england.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To be honest I've had very mixed experiences couchsurfing - two amazing stays in kyoto and hiroshima with absolutely lovely hosts, and one not so good which put me off slightly with a guy who packed 15 people into the same room, tried to hit on the female guests and charged an amount to stay there. I'm therefore keeping to keep an open mind about whether it really works in practice but am very hopeful that there are lots more lovely people to be met who have the right ideas about what couchsurfing is all about.

Centres d'intérêt

Tea drinking, bicycling around, listening to and playing music, escaping the city and spending time in nature, learning french and hopefully spanish in the future, sewing and customising clothes, social issues....
