I'm a midwestern girl who met (and married) a European boy and moved to the East Coast for grad school. We've finally paid off our student loans, and are itching to make up for lost traveling time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a surfer, but as of yet have been unable to host. Been to a couple meet-ups, which were great, and looking forward to being able to host in the (hopefully near) future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some amazing hosts while traveling, and seen/experienced places in their towns that I definitely never would have if I had been following a guidebook. Also, had way better conversations :)

Interests

I love reading, learning, running, and am very passionate about women's health.

I love my Cincinnati Bengals. Who Dey!

I go to the beach whenever I can, and am thrilled to be living on Long Island now. When we moved here, I had no idea there were so many beautiful beaches so close.. it has been like living on vacation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I'm a big Harry Potter fan, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Cutting for Stone, Call the Midwife, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Better, The Help.. I also read a lot of business and finance books.. and I am ALWAYS up for a good book recommendation!

Music: I have recently rediscovered the beauty of classical music. Beyond that, I enjoy top 40's, Pitbull, Kesha (she dominates my running playlist!), and some old-fashioned Blink 182 and Britney Spears. I have also recently started listening to podcasts and books on tape, which is suddenly making my daily commute much more productive :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling is amazing... but I'm convinced there is nothing on earth like watching a human being born into the world and taking their first cry. They are truly a miracle, a blank slate upon which you can project any and all hopes and dreams
