ABOUT ME

i am a public health professional and an artist. I have lived in san francisco for over ten years, and nearly every day, i fall in love with this city all over again. i believe in the relentless pursuit authentic expression of self and community through creativity, connection and collaboration. i build community wherever i go and love to share my time with people who do the same.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

as someone who believes in the inherent power in a positive community and of being *part* of where you are rather than experiencing it at a distance, CS is definitely where it's at. though i am unable to host people, i spend a lot of time with the CS community here in San Francisco at organized events and with other dear friends who host people all the time. I have gotten to know so many amazing people all over the world through this experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have spent time with wonderful couchsurfers in Chiang Mai, South Korea, and San Francisco. In San Francisco, most of my friends host people all the time, so we spend lots of time with folks from all over the world, showing them the city we love and the sharing with them the things we love to do.

books: always murakami's the wind-up bird chronicle. at the moment, bowl of cherries, a story of a young man caught in the theater of the absurd.

music: at the moment, santogold, the new gnarls barkley and morning becomes eclectic on KCRW. and of course, whatever i can shake my booty to: house, trance, beats, breaks, etc. i never turn down a good dj...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

watched the moon rise and fall on the pacific while lying on a beautiful beach in nicaragua. i was 21. it blew my mind.

ate live octopus as it writhed on my chopsticks.

silenced a group of 20 koreans with my mad language skills. one should always know the best ways to curse in another language.
