ABOUT ME

I love to travel. I don't love being a tourist though. I think the best way to experience a place is to get to know the people living there. I study anthropology in school and am passionate about learning how people lead their lives around the world. I also am always trying to find ways to get out of the United States, which has never felt quite like home to me. I hope to live outside the US once I graduate from college. I am most interested in Eastern Europe, but I want to see all parts of the world. I truly enjoy the company of others and care a lot about those I meet on my travels as they are the ones who make trips go from good to great.

I love music. I played French horn, so I enjoy orchestral music, but I also love pretty much every other type as well. I enjoy watching movies and reading as well. When I have time, I also like to write. I also, pretty obviously, enjoy travel. Above all, I love meeting new people and experiencing new places.

I hiked up a snow-covered mountain in Bulgaria to see one of Alexander the Great's palaces...in my tennis shoes.
