ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!

As you can see, my name is Roberto, I'm 22 years old and I live in Belém, the biggest city in the in Brazilian Amazon.

I'm in college now, I study Medicine and I'll graduate in the end of this year. Although I don't have a huge free time, I'm always looking for something fun to do when I can, such as hanging out with my friends, traveling etc.

Since I live with many people, I really can't host anyone now, but I surely can show places around to those who come to Belém.

I usually hang out with my friends to places which are not very noisy, so that people can talk, like parks, bars, pubs, cafés and sometimes, nightclubs.
So, if you like these places, I can perfectly show you what's best in Belém.

Besides Portuguese, I speak English and Spanish, and I think Couchsurfing is a good opportunity to improve them, since we can meet people from everywhere in the world here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Everytime I'm traveling to other city, I keep in contact with people from Couchsurfing. I've been to Brasília and Goiânia and I met very nice people from here.

I'd love to show people around my city. I enjoy meeting new people and cultures, and presenting Belém, which is a very nice city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had two CS experiencies, since I got here: I mwent to Brasília and Goiânia and I met very nice people there, who showed me around, took me to parties and are my friends until today.

They werew both wonderful experiences and I want them to me more and more.

Centres d'intérêt

Hanging out with my friends: I love going to bars, pubs or night clubs with them in my spare time. And sometimes, just watching a movie in one of their houses is perfect!

Politics and related issues: I'm very interested in discussing politics, since the mayor's campaign to global issues. I think that politics makes us feel alive in society and it's a modest contribution to a better world. But don't worry, I'm very open-minded.

Music: It's something I like to hear, to sing and to talk about. I like almost all kinds of music, since Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) to American Pop/Rock. I enjoy everything that's good for my ears.

Foreign languages: When I first studied English, i fell in love to foreign languages. Now, I'm studying Spanish and willing to start studying French soon. I think it's the best way to 'globalise oneself'

Medicine and Health: In fact that's my job, but it's also one of my favorite interests, specially Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love to watch alternative movies. I mean I usually don't like the movies which everybody watches. I always watch French movies or other European ones, which are very good.

I listen to all kinds of Music, I almost have no preferences, but if I have to choose, I like smooth music, but sometimes I listen to heavy metal! ehehe It depends on the moment.

What about boooks? I usually read only Medical books. It's not that I don't like the other ones, but I don't have enough time to do so.
