I would say that "Do No Harm" and having as much fun as possible would be my primary mission statements.

ABOUT ME

I am interested in various things. I go to the movies a lot. I love to read, my idea of the perfect vacation is a couch with a view of the ocean and a bag full of books I 've been collecting for the last year and just reading one after the other. I love food and you can tell that by looking at me! I once drove from New Orleans to Tennessee because of a Barbeque place a friend had raved about.It was worth the trip. I like to laugh. All my friends have great senses of humor. I like to learn things, not necssarily by way of an Adult Education class, but I am interested in history and how people live their lives. I love to hear magical and spiritual stories -like how people met or how someone survived extraordinary circumstances. That's all I can think of right now.

PHILOSOPHY

"Why " do I live my life ? I don't think I have much choice about it, I just have to . I think my personal philosphy is the golden rule "Do unto others and you would have done unto you". Though, driving in Boston , it's kind of hard to stick to the golden rule 100% of teh time . . . . .

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My friend recommended this site to me . I want to go to Edinburgh and my friend doesn't have room for me in their flat. I am trying to explore all possibilities to achieve this goal, including joining Couch Surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haev never officially couch surfed through this site but I have stayed on various friends couches over the years. Probably my favorite experience was with my friend in California. I was visiting her and she had a deadline to meet, so, while I waited for her, I took her dog for a walk around her neighborhood . I felt like I lived in LA, it was such a normal thing to walk your pet and see the neighborhood.

Interests

I like movies, laughing , reading, doing laundry, travelling, the Boston Red Sox, spending time with family and friends. I like to laugh and I really like to sleep.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all-time favorite movie is "It's A Wonderful Life". Coming close behind-Meatballs, Godfathers 1& 2, Goodfellas, The Departed, The Vicars Wife, The Best Years of Our Lives, American Beauty, American Splendor, Grease and Saturday Night Fever. I'm sure I'm leaving tons of movies out. The most recent favorite is "You Kill Me" starring Tea Leoni & Sir BEn Kingsely.
My favorite singer is Irma Thomas. I love soul, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Springsteen, anything on the STAX label. I am a huge Beach Boys fan and I've seen Brian WIlson three times since he's started performing again. The most recent concert I attended was Elvis Costello when he was in Boston.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of stuff that seems pretty amazing to me. I've seen the sun come up on the Mississippi, I've seen the sun set in Key West when everybody applauds the suns's sinking below the horizon.I know that doesn't seem very amazing, but that's all I can think of at present.

I am a former championship Irish Step Dancer ! I have worked at a record store for over 20 years, I might know something about music (the operative adjective is "Might"). I know a lot trivia about movies and the entertainment business. I am a student of comedy and stand-up comics. I have worked at an information booth in Boston , so I can tell you stuff to do and see while in Boston.
