ABOUT ME

I am currently a grad student at Uvic beginning the second year of my MA in Septemeber. When not buried in books and papers, I busy myself with an array of activities from pool, squash, and guitar (just recently), to roaming through used book stores and having philosophical discussions over beer 'tasting'. And, truth be told, every once in a while I let my inner child run free in Beacon Hill Park. As well, if this is all about me I should say I'm a smoker. I'm nice about it and will always take my butt outside but I know for some that is not enough. So alas, to you fine folks, I guess we shall never surf together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My new roommate got me into it. He's been doing it for a little while and we've hosted a few people in our new place. It's been pretty cool meeting some new people and hearing of their travels, so I figured I'd sign myself up and see which paths cross.

Interesses

I am interested in exploring the ontological value of the Real domain as the source of mechanisms which produce empirical phenomena and seek to question whether the conceptual isolation of the Real can unlocked the transformative potentialities inherent to the human agent necessary to create emancipatory politics and radical social organization.
