ABOUT ME

So here I am 31 years old and I have never been out of North America. I live right in the middle of the United States, St Louis Missouri. While I think its a great place to live I feel it lacks some culture sometimes. A friend of mine told me about Couchsurfing and I thought it was a great idea. I am planning some trips overseas and I thought this would be a great place to get some advice and maybe meet some new people.

About me? Single adventerous guy. I'm very active and like to do outdoor activities. I ran my first marathon last spring and had a blast.I also like biking and kayaking. My other big passion is motorcycles. Im not the type to ride wheelies at 150 mph but I do like to take long road trips and feel the wind in my face. St Louis is a huge baseball town but I love to play and watch hockey. Football and baseball are fun also.

I'm a big music buff, seems like I always have some sort music playing. Love to find a cool hole in the wall bar, sit outside, drink beer, and talk about music or life. I can be a bit sarcastic at times but usually dont offend people. Basically I just want to have fun in life and not take everything so seriously. I hope this opens some doors to meet new people and maybe learn some new things. Thanks everyone

a newbie to this whole site, still learning but have spent several weeks couchsurfing with friends as I traveled across the US

Interests

Love the outdoors and doing outdoor activities like camping, mountain biking, hiking, and kayaking. I like taking trips on the motorcycle to different places in the US. Big hockey and football fan. Also a big music person, I listen to all types of music. Not much into the club scence, would rather sit at a cool pub and talk to somebody. Dog lover too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listen to all types of music except heavy rap. I could go forever about music so I will just list the last three concerts I went to......Breaking Benjamin with Three Days Grace, John Mayer and Ben Folds, and Jacks Mannequin

Movies...depends what I'm in the mood for. Favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption and High Fidelity

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2002 Olympic games, to see everyone from around the world in one place for two weeks was great.

Teach, Learn, Share

People that don't mind sharing and letting me ask questions. I am an open book and will tell you pretty much anything you want to know. That doesn't mean I know much though, haha. The people who do think they know it all can be a turn off to me. I don't think it very nice to make somebody feel stupid.
