About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life. Embrace adventure.

ABOUT ME

I try to have an open mind and embrace life's experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've never been very active with this but I hope to help people along their travels and, hopefully, be helped on mine.

Interests

I enjoy good times, good people, good food, the outdoors, and making friends. I want to see more of the world. Things I love include: Impulsive behavior. History. Putting on clothes just out of the dryer. Weekend trips. Music, finding new bands to listen to. Outdoors, mountain biking, anything in or on the water. Being in love. Sports...nearly all of them. Learning. Debating meaningless things for fun. Cooking. Friends. Meeting strangers. Frisbee. Dancing, ridiculously but with a lot of enthusiasm. Drinking craft beer. Being there for my friends when they need me. Natural phenomena/disasters. Live music. Feeling really passionate about something. My ability to remember things I don't need to remember.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and books but I have too many favorites to name, besides its a good conversation topic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I saw lightning strike a tree right next to my car...I could see the lightning coarse down through the tree and then back up. It split the tree in half toward the top and it caught fire. It was kind of rad.

Another time, I was out deep sea fishing with my family and we saw a pod of pilot whales. We threw on our snorkel gear and hopped in for a closer look. They are huge...and they aren't even big whales. So cool. (Found out later that they are actually kind of dangerous...now that I am older and slightly more risk averse, I'd probably hesitate to do it again). There's more to the story but it'd be a lot to write...maybe we can talk about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn other languages. I am not intimidated by the language barrier and would embrace anyone that could teach me, even if for only a few days.
