Overview
About Me
I live on the River Avon just outside of Bristol on a narrow boat, and it's fair to say I fit the 'grubby boater' trope quite well. I enjoy being in the wild, traveling adventurously (read: with a lot of optimism and not much thinking) and am a firm believer in mutual aid.
I recently started a solidarity project supporting asylum seekers and refugee women who could do with a birth partner, advocacy support and, most crucially, solidarity. Travel has taken a back seat and so time to get back on the proverbial horse!
I love folk music as well as rowdier stuff. I'm just as happy stomping about the wilderness as I am at a pub, party or festival.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have loved hosting couch surfers over the years, however now find myself living on a 40 foot boat and so lack the space. When I upgrade to a bigger space, Couchsurfing will be the first to know.
I've met ;oads of truly amazing hosts all over Europe and in the States both on the CS record and off. Made some truly amazing life long-ers who I still am in contact with. I also accrued a love story along the way...

Teach, Learn, Share
Cooking (albeit sometimes rather badly), living cheap, hitching rides, sewing, the art of drinking ones self under the table, getting lost in big cities, walking my dog, hugging my dog, talking too much about my dog, that kinda thing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, bad jokes, plots and plans about how to overthrow the patriarchy, how to give living off-grid a go, humour, a love of life.
