ABOUT ME

In our combined 50 years we have sailed around the world & been through trauma on the seas, spent whole days in airports and on planes, bicycled across the country, backpacked through the most amazing places, and been extracted by a search and rescue helicopter. We've taught public health in India, worked as a park ranger in Arizona, bicycled over the highest paved road in America, and given up everything known to move across the country for a girl. We have sat among unwanted children, befriended the homeless & outcasts, lived with strangers, listened to a poor man’s dreams, comforted the family of a dying child, and been there for someone's last breath. And through all this we've learned from our mistakes, figured out what it means to be true to oneself, and fallen deeply in love...

...but I think the best is yet to come :o)

BUCKEYES, people of substance, randomness, the feeling of butterflies in your stomach, traveling, laughing with true friends, photography, volunteering, living healthy and green but not in that annoying in-your-face way, rock climbing, flying trapeze, snowboarding, hiking/backpacking/camping, kayaking, long days atop a bicycle, nursing, and making a difference in someone's day.
